CSMART is dedicated to providing all bridge and engineering officers of the Carnival Corporation and plc Group with rigorous safety training. The facility features bridge and engine room simulators, part task and full mission, utilizing the most innovative technology and training solutions in the maritime industry.
In addition to maritime training, CSMART offers related services including continuous development programs, physical wellness evaluations and extensive port studies.
CSMART’s team of highly experienced and committed instructors has developed a curriculum that sets the industry standard for safety, sustainability and maritime training and keeps pace with advances in ship technology & sustainability, fostering critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and confidence.
CSMART is currently looking for an Instructor (Marine)] for 40 hours per week with particular focus on the delivery of courses to our participants in accordance with CSMART processes.
Duties & responsibilities
As an Instructor you are an integral part of the CSMART team where your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering training in a wide variety of Nautical courses
Development & review of course material/contents.
Liaises with colleagues and supporting personnel to ensure efficiency of course delivery processes.
Professional development and keeping up to date with current practices and technology as per CSMART’s directions.
Requirements & experience
At least 5 years of Cruise Ship experience.
Is currently holding the position as Senior 1st Officer/Safety Officer or Staff Captain in the cruise industry.
Experience in teaching/instructing in the Maritime industry would be an asset.
Proficient in MS Office
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to communicate and work well in a multi-cultural team
Ability to work independently
Proficient in English, verbal and in writing
